Vientiane, Lao PDR, November 27th, 2009 - Lao PDR government agencies, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, companies and members of the public came together yesterday to launch a major campaign to promote Lao wildlife conservation and prevent illegal trade

During the launch guests were addressed by Mr. Khamchen Vongphosy, Vice-Minister of Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, Mr Patchamuthu Illangovan, Country Manager for World Bank in Laos and Mr Inthy Deuansavan, owner of Green Discovery Laos.

The event concluded with a visit from SEA Games mascots Champi and Champa and entertainment from bands Sam, Aluna and ULUVUS.
